Requirements to Visit HSR

Those over 18 year of age wishing to visit HSR must complete the following requirements and produce copies of each:

1.  Safe Scouting for Parents Training.
2.  Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
3.  Code of Conduct document.
4. Individual Release and Hold-Harmless Agreement

Current Scouts Canada registered leaders will have already completed these requirements. A copy of their Scouts Canada membership that includes the PRC Valid-To date will be sufficient.

SAFE SCOUTING FOR PARENTS TRAINING

This training is available online at MyScouts.ca, and must be completed prior to Alumni Weekend.  Despite what is written in the preamble of the instructions linked below, this training is required for anyone 18 years of age and older attending Alumni Weekend, not just those staying overnight in camp. Please click here for full instructions on how to complete the training. Upon completion of the course, a certificate of completion will be issued.

POLICE RECORD CHECK (PRC) AND VULNERABLE SECTOR SCREENING (VSS)

This is the same PRC requirement as previous years.   PRCs are required for those 18 years of age and older and staying overnight at HSR.  PRCs are accepted by Scouts Canada for three years from the date of issue or renewal. Further information on obtaining a PRC can be viewed here.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The Code of Conduct document needs to be signed by anyone visiting HSR.  You can access the document in advance here.

INDIVIDUAL RELEASE AND HOLD-HARMLESS AGREEMENT (WAIVER)

The Individual Release/Waiver document will also need to be signed by anyone visiting HSR.  You can access the document in advance here.
